The VCDX program from VMware always has had strange relationship. VMware created it, and certainly tries to attach some level of prestige to it during the difficult vetting process.
But they haven't done a very good job of allowing the VCDX holders themselves to advertise for the program, which many of us would love to do. When you become a VCDX, you get 2 identical polo shirts. Thats it.
Looks like the guy running the program now, Mark Brunstad, is trying to fix this. This week, all the VCDXs (at least the first 100) got giant boxes in the mail for Christmas full of customized VCDX stuff. Way cool!
Check it out:
Beautiful monogrammed folder:
Super cool engraved video camera!
Beer cooler! What could I do with that?
Is it for holding this trophy? Nope....
Is it for holding this cool beer pint glass? Maybe....
Nope, its for the special VCDX beer!
And another polo!
My favorite - nice fleece vest.
